Fans are in shock after Nonku Williams, a well-known influencer and reality TV personality, made her exit from The Real Housewives of Durban official.
On Sunday, June 1, the influencer and entrepreneur made the shocking announcement on her Instagram account that she will not be attending the reunion or coming back for the next season.
Long-time fan favourite Nonku talked candidly about the difficult option, stating, "It's not an easy choice, but it's one I must make." As I see myself on film, I'm forced to face an unsettling truth.
She continued by acknowledging that the self-image she presented on the show no longer reflects her true personality.
“The woman I see isn’t someone I recognise or respect,” she added
noting that while she played a role in shaping her on-screen image, she was also influenced by the show’s dynamics.
Additionally, Nonku Williams thanked the viewers for their support during the performance.
“To those who’ve supported me throughout this journey, I’m grateful. I acknowledge my part in the chaos, but I also recognize the show’s role in shaping our narratives. I’m choosing to break free from this cycle, to seek a path that uplifts and inspires. I’m choosing to use my platform to spread love, kindness, and positivity.”
She concluded: “I’m choosing to be a role model for my children and for others who may be watching. I’m choosing to prioritize my well-being and to take care of myself. I’m choosing to be authentic, to be true to myself, and to live a life that reflects my values.”
